Hopefully he will chime in here, he is a HFC member with alot of cool toys. I don't see any evidence of that, but I would suggest you ASK YOUR QUESTIONS first Peter Thats a shame the guitar suffered damage, i know that packages get treated rough but you would think that the seller would be EXTRA careful with something like this and use all top grade materials [And double box] with regards to packing it up for shipment..............the way I always did it anyways. As the headstock/neck IS the most fragile part of the guitar you have to go the extra mile. I always asked any sellers I have bought from DO NOT put anything under the headstock of the guitar..............never had a guitar sent that arrived broken or received one broken. With any high end guitar sales I always shipped USPS EXPRESS Mail which is guaranteed to be at the buyers door the next day or your money back. Yeah I know its over $100.00 to do it but less time in transit = less chance of damage. Another great Hamer broken.
Studio Custom Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I spoke with the seller. He bought out the inventory of Dixie Guitar, he is a pawn shop next door. He said the guitar came from Eddie's cousin in Houston originally. He has had the guitar for over a year. He is very concerned about shipping it and would have the UPS store across the sway do it for him, add $150. I flirted with the idea but my wall is covered, there is nothing I'd be willing to sell to make room for a guitar I'd rarely play. Besides I still have to make room for these:
