  1. I had a white one with a trem on it, bought it used at a local music store for $ 500.00. Definitely NOT a Hamer Sunburst of which I have owned 2 of.
  2. Great player and child prodigy on guitar. Saw him playing..................really just trying out guitars long ago at Knut Koupee which was a renowned music store located in Minneapolis. Back when I lived up there I hung out there alot.
  3. I knew a guy that had one for sale and his was a Large size and I tried it on....................too small for me as I weigh 175 lbs. at 5'8". The Extra Large size [TONE TO THE BONE"] jacket I bought a while back from Greg Platzer [BCR GREG] fits me perfect.
  4. Great guitarist who is always been on my list of favorites. Still going strong and making and performing great music. I saw him wayyyyyyyyyyyy back in the day with the first band he was in called MARIANI which was a Blues, Psych, Rock group. Then, he was on to Fusion in the Electromagnets. What a talented and great guy, soft spoken, humble, and funny.
  5. The guy has quite an imagination.....................as broad as my receded hairline, great guitar, it sold quickly.
  6. Back in the day..................
  7. I'll be moving down to Florida here in several months, both our kids live down there now and they love it. I have been retired for many years now and soon my wife will be as well. I can't wait to see the guitar shows as well as the car shows as they are on a level not seen around here in Minnesota. I won't miss the snow.
  8. I saw a Tony Iommi SG being offered at a guitar show here several weeks back, the asking price was the clear giveaway before anything else that it was not what it appeared to be. One guy had his money out ready to buy until someone fortunately told him it was not the real thing.......................unfortunately it was not the seller. If it's too good to be true it probably is just that. I have to eat my own words here also....................I bought an "ALL original" 1969 Fender Stratocaster. Back in the day I thought it was a great deal, and I paid some good $$$$ for it. Turns out it wasn't either a good deal or all original, still like your Grohl I liked the guitar just for what it was...........or what it wasn't as it played and sound great and I kept it for many years.
  9. Give me a minute..............it won't take that long, and I could say who that is. But................ I won't waste your time or mine in doing so. Somethings are better left unsaid.
  10. Cool bass!...........................kinda "Art Decoish". like those "Cat's Eye" control knobs. If I was a bass player I own one of those.
  11. That IS a very rare guitar to come across, saw one several years ago at a guitar show here in Minnesota but it was in poor shape and had no case. That one is a beauty and having the OHSC makes it even more of a treasure.
  12. Big chunk of wood!...............I owned 2 of them back in my fusion days. One I custom ordered from Gibson and the other I bought from "Pete's Guitar" in St Paul Mn. The original design from 1958 - 1962 are the real collector's item. I played one long, long ago at a guitar show. It had a mandolin on top and a six string on the bottom, but Gibson would let you custom order different configurations. Here is a photo my brother took of me back in the early 1970s.
  13. Asking is not always the same as selling. THIS ^^^^^
