  1. Yeah if your dead.........................you are certainly STOPPED.
  2. She was your "PRIVATE DANCER" [Thanks to Mark Knopfler and Jeff Beck]....................she had a great vocal style. I guess I didn't realize how wealthy she was..........................230 MIL. RIP dear lady.
  3. Well I guess you can never have too many. I love Pat Metheny's music, certainly one of the world's best guitarists and so much more. I have met him a few times over the years and he is also a really nice approachable guy to talk with. Pat owns the original built by Linda Manzer years ago. This is a replica of the one she built for Pat......some one with deep pockets was able to get Linda to build this one. I have always wondered how long it takes to tune it all up. Pretty incredible guitar ART that is also a very unique playable instrument............Pat uses it often. Linda Manzer's Pikasso II | Reverb
  4. WOW! That is the top of the food chain guitar!....................all the bells and whistles! ................even the case! I not really a fan of any green guitar.....................TILL NOW! Sooooooooooooo Cooooooooooooool!
  5. Congrats! What a cool guitar!.................... the Hamer "Sunburst" is IMHO best guitar Hamer made.. What a great price also, hard to beat that as has already been mentioned they are always way more $$$$ than what you paid. Martin would like that one!
  6. Yeah being the article was about TIM'S passing one would think. I found that bizarre.
  7. He was taking care of business. RIP. Tim Bachman, Bachman-Turner Overdrive Member, Dead at 71 (msn.com)
  8. Anyone else catch this article?....................being a big fan of the Dutch band FOCUS especially guitarist Jan Akkerman. I knew about the Gibson Les Paul that was retopped for Jan by Hamer in their early days but guess I had forgotten about the Wishbone Ash connection. The One That Got Away—and Inspired Much More - Premier Guitar
  9. A 3 P-90 pickup "Wrap Tail" Gold Top Gibson Les Paul.........................what's not to like? That IS very cool!
  10. Great pricing!................... ...I finally got my wish! $350.00 + shipping. I have been saying $350.00 for years it seems and finally someone is in agreement!😉
  11. I would say in the last 4 years at Dave's,.................... I have seen it there in person twice.
  12. I agree.....................it wouldn't be original anymore, but it would sure look better! BTW does that Bridge and Tailpiece look crooked?..................... or is it just my eyes.
  13. From what I understand "MONTY" was an early employee at Hamer............... very early....................and if I remember per "THE BOOK". he was building some of the early "Hamer Guitars". That guitar while it might play and sound good it sure is unappealing as far as looks goes.............at least IMHO and at that price well.................good luck! Jim Beach is another guy that built some early guitars for Hamer. From Danzig's FB page "Luthier Jim Beach built several explorer and V shaped instruments for me and my business partner, Paul Hamer. Jim did the woodwork at his shop, Wooden Music, and we did the finishing and assembly at our shop in Wilmette, IL. The first of these guitars (serial #0000) is still in the collection of Rick Nielsen of the band Cheap Trick. Those instruments formed the basis upon which we would later create the Hamer Guitar company." I almost bought this one long, long ago before I bought my first Hamer SUNBURST. Jim Beach Guitar.
  14. I believe at least 3........................... I remember it well as I called Dave about it and almost bought it.
  15. The early Hamer "Sunbursts" and The Hamer "Triple Threat".................I have owned 2 1979 Hamer Sunbursts but not a Triple Threat.
  16. That guitar IS beautiful!, and VERY cool!.................I could live with the gold hardware and be OK. The Mirage is one of my 3 favorite Hamer guitars.
  17. I always have and always will....................... but just a dollop.
  18. For a guy that has built some amazing guitars at Hamer that has to be a pretty incredibly stupid thing to say.
  19. Yeah I would think so regarding that price. Those are all fine guitars but 15K worth? ............NOPE!
  20. I just thought it was funny that Sammy who had dropped into this store to buy a UKE thinking it was only $600.00 later finds out it was 6K. And sure there are others out there for more money. In reality though for Sammy at least it hardly matters to a man whose net worth is listed at 150 Million. We should all be so lucky.
