  1. I have had 4 SGs....................2 Customs, I LOVE the look and sound of these guitars. But alas I have never been able to bond with them...........................much like the Telecaster.
  2. NICE!.........................................AND CLEAN! Beautiful Hamer!
  3. Sorry guys no SPRUCE TOP Hamer guitars to show you......................but I did own these Yamaha SA [SUPER AXE ]1200S and 2000S models.
  4. I don't know who the wood buyers were at Hamer but they sure knew there stuff! BEAUTIFUL!
  5. That IS cool! Be interesting to see the final price it sells for..............................there should be "Checkerboard" somewhere on that backpack. I've never seen one either.................but then I'm still a NEWBEE here pretty much..................Chris and Kiz and some VETs must have seen these before. Heck and I thought my Hamer Hockey Jersey and Hamer 5 Neck guitar pin were rare.
  6. Good Luck! hope you get the score you want, that is a fine guitar and rare to come across...............................funny you should mention a Yamaha Weddington Custom as a trade possibility ......................I actually traded my Fender Flame Elite for a Weddington Custom back some years ago. They are a marvelous and very hard to find guitar, and when they do turn up, poof they are gone pretty quickly. Finding a nice Gibson Les Paul for trade or purchase shouldn't be too difficult. The Weddington Custom I own now [And this Weddington isn't the one I traded away years ago BTW] isn't for sale or trade, but it sure is a wonderfully amazing guitar.
  7. I have it, Electric LadyLand.........................in the "NUDE" cover no less.............................. I think it's a great album in many ways but I actually prefer THE CRY OF LOVE of all of his recordings but that IS a great one.
  8. Someone had one of these up for sale here on the HFC some time ago..................don't believe it sold, maybe it did???? But perhaps that someone will see your desire for one of these. Good Luck! Cool Hamer for sure!
  9. It's your guitar and the Studio Custom IS a great looking instrument but aside from the pickup changes, NOPE!
  10. Yeah I don't think they are running short at the bank....................The net worth of Abba Group is over $900 million. The group has four members, and each member net worth is $200 to $300 million. The wealth comes from music where they performed in multiple concerts and shows as well as sold various albums that did very well. Abba decided to reunite and create an album for their fans so that they can enjoy.
  11. I was and remain a HUGE Beatles fan as many from my BOOMER generation are. I still have all the Beatles records I could lay my hands on, even the stranger stuff when they did their solo recordings, some pretty "OUT" stuff like "Life with the Lions Part II" Plastic Ono Band Live in Toronto, The Wedding Album, Two Virgins, There is some music on these records but much of it is talking. and of course YOKO's interpretation of singing or what her idea of singing is via "Avant Guard". All of it IS hard to listen to. I bought it because it was part of The Beatles in so much that Lennon was involved in it, I was a pretty big record collector at one time back in the day with 10,000 Lps,.............. I have 500 + now. I hate to add more suffering here this early in the morning but here she is again.
  12. No apologies needed...................I knew you were joking, the "Tree Fifty" for a Hamer guitar has been a long standing offer/joke here. I actually don't own either of those guitars anymore but I did enjoy them during my time of ownership. When I first joined here finding one for sale was difficult to say the least, there were NONE around where I live so one guitar I bought off Ebay and and the other from Canada. I go to guitar shows all the time, well at least pre COVID I did and I have never seen a USA Hamer guitar at any of them. I have only have seen one Special and one Monaco for sale here in Minnesota both at the same music store and both were owned by the same seller. USA Hamers are now known as some of the best guitars ever built..................... these guys on THE HFC just knew that first.
  13. These days that would be a GREAT deal for a USA Hamer Sunburst form 79............... you couldn't score a "Dot" neck for that now......................not that a "DOT" is a lesser guitar in any way, because it's not.
  14. I bought both my 1979 Hamer SUNBURSTS for $1,200.00 and $1,600.00 back shortly after I joined here back in 2012.
