Studio Custom Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I'm having some Hamer logos made, the logos on guitars don't look white to me but off white, unless it's the clear coat that's tinting it. Opinions?
Steve Haynie Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 They're definitely a pure white pre-finish.Plain Letraset dry transfer letters are quite white. The original Hamer logos I got before Hamer stopped allowing them out were absolutely bright white. Aging clear coat is what makes them look a little off white.
Andrew Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I am sure they made some ivory coloured ones too and used them on the T62.I agree that mostly the off-white is from the cellulose nitrate clear coat aging (in the days when they used it).
Jem Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I've got one that Kim sent me - definitely pure white.
