hudpucker Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I really do hate to do this but here goes...FS: '97 P-90 Special finished in cherry transparent with a nice medium profile neck. The guitar is in excellent condition and comes with the OHSC (which is in near mint shape). Pics can be found here: http://community.webshots.com/album/531263177VbZLEAIt's basically a stock guitar; the only 'mods' it has are Schaller straplock buttons instead of Dunlops and the headstock has previously been professionally drilled for Sperzels (though the OEM Schallers are now installed and completely cover up the Sperzel guide pin holes). This was a studio guitar and as such has only minor fretwear. No real dings to mention as this one really is in excellent shape. You'll wait a long time to find another one in this condition. I'd rather this one went to a fellow HFCer instead of eBay. **SOLD**
Zoner Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Are these pretty lightweight guitars? They look to be a pretty stout hunk of Mahogany and I'm gettin' old and creaky. Are the pickups real singles with the noise and everything, or stacked hummers? Thanks. Z
hudpucker Posted December 30, 2005 Author Posted December 30, 2005 I don't know about 'lightweight' but it's a medium-esque weight, I'd say. Probably about 8 and a half pounds or so. Certainly not light but nowhere near 70s LP Custom heavy, either. The pickups are just the stock Duncans Hamer put it 'em--real singles coils with noise and everything. thanks.
atquinn Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 The Specials have a Seymour Duncan Hot P90 in the neck and a Custom P90 in the bridge. Great, great guitars, but I already have one . Hopefully an HFC'er will have room in their collection for this. -Austin
tafkathundernotes Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I have a '92 just like it. They are beautiful guitars - that's a nice price too.
zygleth Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Made an offer, waitng for reply. seems like a fair deal, yes?
