  1. Boca Raton Police Department homepage. http://www.ci.boca-raton.fl.us/police/PDWeb/index.html Under FAQ's, click on Fraud Investigator and send them an email. Good luck!
  2. In another post on TGP he said his email address was [email protected] This chump is in Florida, if I had to guess. (I don't think they serve California) You may be able to chase him down through the bellsouth site, or (if he really is a Mesa Boogie dealer) maybe they will help you out. Arc Music of Boca is a registered Mesa dealer in Boca Raton, has a 561-prefix phone number, and has a bellsouth.net email address. I'll keep looking https://www.arcmusicofboca.com/Contact_Us.html Another little tidbit: That phone number is listed as a MetroPCS cellphone in Boca Raton Florida. Now check this out: Metro PCS cellphone sales office in Boca Raton FL: 8177 Glades Road Boca Raton, FL - 33434 Arc Music of Boca 8182 Glades Rd. Boca Raton, FL 33434 5 doors down. I'd bet half a twenty I know where this guy works. Call the police in Boca Raton, FL.
  3. The phone number is registered as wireless and based in Boca Raton, Florida. You can do a reverse number lookup at http://www.switchboard.com to see for yourself. Unfortunately, wireless numbers aren't published and you'd have to pay to find out who it is. You might try the police in Boca Raton, or the Sheriff's department for Palm Beach County. I'm not sure how much luck you'll have because there's a lot of criminal activity that hides down there. I've had to deal with some of it myself. I'll see what else I can track down via internet.
  4. There's someone in Canada building their retirement portfolio with Hamer shredders.
  5. Just tried powertabs for the first time. Very cool! The player is a little weak, but maybe if I adjust some settings I can make it sound better. Tabs seem pretty accurate and you can do a lot with it.
  6. http://www.myspace.com/thundernotes My band's myspace is in the sig line below.
  7. Congratulations Nick and Mrs. Nick! A happy day for all!
  8. There's a new screen name for somebody: "OFFICIANDO"
  9. I don't see the flaws in the listing, but I'm no expert on these things. Is the S/N not from the Connecticut era? I know he's WAY overpriced for an opening bid. The only red flag for me is that email thing in his listing: <h2 style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">EMAIL ME DIRECTLY at [email protected] I love answering questions…Please for security reasons and because I cannot be sure you will get your question answered due to most ebay generated emails do not get past the junk mail / spam guard</h2> Now that's a bunch of BS! For security reasons, you should NEVER email outside of the ebay system, because ebay will never get a copy of the communication. You're dead in the water if there's a dispute.
  10. Keep Fishin' - Weezer ...but earlier today, if you can believe it....... "Gentle on My Mind" by Glen Campbell.
  11. I kind of like the openings on the Gibson Johnny A. model. I think they're called "A-holes"
  12. Nice goin' guys! Way to be all "clicky" and stuff! Gee Eagledude, we hardly knew ya! 5 posts - 3 about how you can't post pictures and you're done. Wow. We've had trolls that stuck around longer; at least until the Troll-Patrol clique ganged up and ran them out of Dodge. It's not a pretty sight. Actually, the problem with your presumption of our aloof nature is that all of the elitist leadership is on vacation right now. Being a cold-hearted bastard takes energy and every so often, you gotta' recharge the batteries. The rest of us lemmings don't know whether to say "welcome" or just piss in your cornflakes, figuratively speaking. It's so slow around here that we're engaging threads about how we like Hamer, but maybe they don't really like us. Now you don't like us either. I'm just sorry Mattson's missing all this. He's so good with cranky newbies.
  13. I find Carvin amps to be among the better-built amplifiers available, though I've not seen innards of the V3 specifically. As for resale, 5 of the heads have sold on ebay in the last 10 days for between $600 and $840 - several with a BIN. Their MTS series amps are quite rugged and sound great. If the V3 is anything like the MTS, I think it's a good deal.
  14. Well, I don't ordinarily listen to Toby Keith, but yes, you're right about him too!
  15. To answer Reeshard's question: Triumph - Allied Forces, and that was years before CD's were available! Now, on to Willie G's question about pretense: What first comes to mind is anything that reveals the mindset of "I'm famous, so anything I say about politics is relevant" qualifies. That would include most music by Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, U2, and Don Henley. As for those who are accomplished musicians then deciding to release albums of their mindless noodling or a re-hashing of their old stuff, the winners are Styx for that Mr. Roboto album, and anything the Rolling Stones have done since '75.
  16. I finally got the sound I want out of my 12-string bass, so I'm playing that as much as I can on live gigs. That's about one set right now. At home, I'm working mostly on being able to play only the bass strings without hitting the octaves if that's the sound I want. And I'm playing a lot of acoustic guitar too
  17. As you can see, we're all over the map as far as decades go, but our most consistently successful dance-floor tunes are: Wild, Wild, West - Escape Club Smokin' in the Boys Room - Brownsville Station/Motley Crue Let's Go - The Cars (on MySpace page below) Hella Good - No Doubt Stacy's Mom - Fountains of Wayne The Breakup Song - Greg Kihn Band You May Be Right - Billy Joel Addicted To Love - Robert Palmer Rebel Yell - Billy Idol Hard Days Night - The Beatles Twilight Zone - Golden Earring (when the crowd is right, this one goes over big) Don't be afraid to update the sound of some older tunes either. We just added "Last Time" by the Stones, but we play it like Green Day would. It gets a great reaction.
  18. Vegas? A carribbean cruise or an island somewhere? (No, Rhode Island and Long Island don't count!) NYC? MSP? Chicago? Or, maybe - if we call New Hartford and ask real nice.... P.S. Columbus is fine with me too!
  19. Yeah, believe it or not - it's a state law : Band members are considered employees (contractors) of the establishment, and are therefore in the same boat as a bartender. The club can be fined or even lose its liquor license if you get caught drinking on the job. If there are other clubs nearby, sometimes musicians will wander down the street for a cold one. It doesn't effect me, because I don't drink until after the show. I guess some people consider a gig to be an alcohol event, where music is consumed. To each, his own.
