kurtsstuff Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 What can i tell you but...Basically a better built Marshall..Clean/OD1/OD2 channels with boost...series effects loop that can be switched out for true bypass when not in use. a few nicks and such in the tolex but the amp itself is excellent condition. this is the version without separate Clean channel eq and no 3rd gear but I had one of these that did and did'nt notice much difference as the clean channel is pretty good but somewhat of a compromise (the gain knob controls this channel as well)but these amps really do nail that early VH tone and with some different eq settings I can get a killin George Lynch thing goin. Love this amp but my quest for my Diezel continues!! $1000.00 Shipped!!
kurtsstuff Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 Splawn amps are great! Nice price too yeah...I wished I could afford to keep it but...well...I could but....well.. but....hehe

kurtsstuff Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 If I give you some cash to "Hold" it while I ebay the RM100...would that work? call me 512-497-5454 Hey Scott...I kinda had you in mind when I traded out for this amp...I was listing it for sale at a couple other sites but I've pulled those ads...I need to check the amp out cuz...the boost function does'nt seem to be working or..I'm doin something wrong?...most likely just the footswitch...As they are really not built for abuse..the footswitch...not the amp..anyways..I'll keep you up to date...Don't unload your RM100 just yet...
kurtsstuff Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 The Boost function is fine...operator error
kurtsstuff Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 Hey guys...seems the boost function is intermittent (sp?) so...for now Scott hang onto your stuff and bluesking same thing.....I will not sell an amp with even the most minor of problems. I'll source out the cause of the problem and keep ya posted...seems lately my amps are developing little pains in the ass crap here and there lately??? oh well.....Thanks!
kurtsstuff Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 All fixed...loose ground wire on the boost button and believe me...ya got boost now...Dayuuum!! anyways...who wants it...?
kurtsstuff Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 I'll let you know tomorrow. cool...but until then....it's up for grabs if anyone has interest!!!
Scottcrud Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I'm 95% sure I want it, I just need to sleep on it.
kurtsstuff Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 I'm 95% sure I want it, I just need to sleep on it. Oh...ok....thought you were having second thoughts.....I slept on an amp once but..I was really drunk at the time hehe
killertone Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 holy crap...my head is gonna explode...and i mean my actual head...not an amp...scott knows what i mean!
Scottcrud Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 well, did someone here get it, or did you trade for another amp? I see you already sold the UBER...
kurtsstuff Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 well, did someone here get it, or did you trade for another amp? I see you already sold the UBER... yeah...the uber was'nt my thing but a great amp..The VHT...kinda cool but 2 channels of the same thing....And the Diezels are kinda loosing their lustre for me the longer I procrastinate and it's really too much dough for an amp but...they really do kick ass and all you have read and heard is true..and I gotta come clean on this thing...and I know this won't make sense and makes me look kinda flaky but...after dicking around with it using different rack effects and such...I kinda "sold" myself on the idea of keeping it for a little while at least so..most likely be for sale in the future sorry....There....My conscience is clear!!!...
Scottcrud Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Not a problem Kurt, I was gonna have to sell some stuff to scrounge up the rest of the money anyway, so you still would've been waiting on me. Those Diezals $4 grand is a car or a whole stack and a guitar, or a hottub. I just can't see how they could be $2000 bucks better than the Engl SE that's $2500.00, both made in Germany, both have relays, I mean the Diezal is not a point to point amp, it's a pcb amp with a high failure rate. Since you live in California, have you heard of or tried the Mako amps? That guy builds them like the old Hiwatts plus they do the sick high gain thing.
Scottcrud Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Jeezus... whats that suppossed to mean buddy?
kurtsstuff Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 Jeezus... yeah...Whats that supposed to mean hmmm??
kurtsstuff Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 Oh and Scott...Thanks for understanding and being so cool about it...thought I was in a world of shit there for awhile...hehe
