Dave Scepter Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Has anyone ever seen this before?.. It's a pickup I pulled out of a early 80's Vector with a X2N base plate and Super Distortion or Dual Sound bobbins about 16k ohms
murkat Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Guitar parts are another man's legos. Sometimes they fit together, sometimes not. What you have there is an x2n base plate with some hot coils on top.
Dave Scepter Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 Cool~ Whatever it is, it sounds great & if I ever decide to sell the guitar it's in, I will make sure the ad says "equipped with a DiMarzio Lego!" Thanks for the info!
cynic Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Someone had a dead X2N and a Super D with a stripped adjustment screw hole
Dave Scepter Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 Hmmmmm, I wonder if you can do that with Seymour Duncan pickups?.. Because I have an Invader that someone drilled the mounting holes out for I'm assuming, direct mounting~ Meh, probably another project that never gets done~

HSB0531 Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 As everyone else said, a hybrid of parts. I was just going through my old stuff and found my original Dimarzio X2N pickups from #0531. 1981 vintage.
