hamerhead Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Is there any software available that will remove everything from a song but the drum track?
FrettyMcgee Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Deconstructing a 2 track mix is like getting pee out of a swimming pool. Its been my experience that, while tack isolation can be kinda done, the end result isn't really even usable. I've tried several different plugins that claim to remove or isolate parts of songs, but really, it ends up sounding like a underwater AM radio. It would be more worth the effort investing in a decent drum plugin (like Toontrack) and tracking down a midi version of the song in question (like a Guitar Pro file). Then, tweak away at the midi file until you have something reasonably close to the original beat. If you are really OCD like me, you can then try a drum replacer program, sample the original source's actual kick and snare and add it to the mix.
Dasein Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 What song are you looking for? You can find the .moog files for songs released through guitar hero and rockband that are multi-tracks
