I don't follow him, so it makes no significance to me.  I know that I definitely don't care much for the idea of supposedly dropping $2500 on one of these guitars.    There's much better used guitars for sale that are much less expensive.

Yeah, he was a tad over the top with his Homme-hate, but I agree that $2.5k seems ridiculous for those models. Makes me wonder what current market prices are for the Fenders made for Robben Ford around the same time (Esprit?).
