ArnieZ Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Do the bridges always rock when using the Bigsby or is that a sign of poor construction? I don't remember that happening on my Monaco III ArnieZ
jaberwock Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Doesn't rock on my Monaco III. The original Tele Bigsby bridge pivoted on the tip of the height adjustor screws; a roller bridge could help if your prefer not to rock, but to roll. Jaberwock
ArnieZ Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 Follow up question: Will the rocking on the studs eventually cause the bridge studs to loosen? ArnieZ
Jeff R Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Most of the Bigsby/TOM tandems that cross my bench have rock to varying degrees. I too am not a big fan of that - seems like you're asking for trouble over time. I'd want rollers ideally, rolled saddle surfaces at least, if it was my guitar.
