Bigsby + Nashville style Tuna

Do the bridges always rock when using the Bigsby or is that a sign of poor construction?

I don't remember that happening on my Monaco III

Doesn't rock on my Monaco III.

The original Tele Bigsby bridge pivoted on the tip of the height adjustor screws; a roller bridge could help if your prefer not to rock, but to roll.

Follow up question: Will the rocking on the studs eventually cause the bridge studs to loosen?

Most of the Bigsby/TOM tandems that cross my bench have rock to varying degrees. I too am not a big fan of that - seems like you're asking for trouble over time. I'd want rollers ideally, rolled saddle surfaces at least, if it was my guitar.
