Several inches of the stiff stuff in every direction. way lighter. This counts can be carried on my back fits very snugly, so no bouncing around and it has the usual pockets and compartments and stuff it's not as sleek as a MONO and the zippers aren't as nice, but it is way more protective. Just sharing in case anyone with a Standard is looking.
