Well, a 2017 open box / blem showed up in the outlet listings today, so I pulled the trigger.  They also have a nice no interest no credit check 3 payment plan with a tiny processing fee to spread the pain a bit. Review to follow once it arrives.

I like those Pelham blue SG's  only thing I'll say is November is about the time of the

sweet deals on Gibsons the last few years...  might want to sit and watch the market

for the next month...   had a buddy who bought a 2018 Les Paul Classic a month ago

at $1899 which is a fair discount but by no means blazin... They've already

dropped to $1599 at GC even less if you use the rewards points.

edit... sorry didn't see second page when I was typin  well good luck!

I had thought about that, but as a 2017 and open box, I don't think I'll do better. What I DO find surprising is that the 2018 models pretty much VANISHED.  Usually the major makers will have them well into the next year, but i guess there was reduced production during the bankruptcy proceedings.

I wonder why Sweetwater doesn't get any Gibson exclusive runs. They do however get some NICE Fender exclusive runs with options you never see.

They seemed to have some a year or two ago with that Made to Measure thing.  They probably just rotate who they're getting special orders from.

Dave's guitars had the "thin skin" nitro guitars some years back. I think WIllcutt's also had them.

Right now Sweetwater's got Exclusive American Professional Strats in special colors, with Roasted maple necks and/or fretboards, '69 custom shop pickups, and locking tuners.

I also remember the "amazon exclusive" Gibson SG Vintage Burst guitars from 2-3 years ago. That peeved me off. Not gonna buy a guitar off of amazon. Sorry not sorry.
