Travis Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 What about a solid Korina Watson? That could be badass.
Mobster Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Get the real deal and stick with mahogany. They sound great. IMO.BTW, that's a cool-as-heck looking dog in your picture.
Travis Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 So, are you saying that a solid korina Watson isn't a good idea?Yours is still one of my all time favorite Hamers. I was just telling a guy about it tonight.
Mobster Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Not at all (about it being a bad idea, I mean) I just think that they sound killer the way they were originally built for Jeff-stay true to the original, can't do a whole lot better. Of course, IMO.Ah, what the heck...I'm sure you'll dig it either way....
Travis Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 If I could ever make up my mind one way or another, I'm sure I would. One day it's a Watson, the next it's a Korina Vector. If only I had as much money as I do custom ideas. Ah well, one day I will. But for now, I'm still searching for the ultimate piece. Thanks for the input.
Travis Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 Oh yeah, the biggest thing holding me back from a Watson right now is the 25.5" scale. I've just fallen in love with the 24.75" scale of most of the other Hamers. In the past month or so I've sold 3 of my 25.5" scale guitars (only have 2 left) and I've been playing the 24.75" ones much more often.Damn my mother and her short, fat fingers.
Craig Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 If you want a korina vector, check out BCR for the one Greggy has with binding. It's a hot piece of wood if you ask me. The binding really sets it off.
Hunter_Brown Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Hmmm, a custom ordered Watson in Korina no less. And I thought Historics were pricey.
