tomteriffic Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Anybody have a Rio BBQ bucker or Duncan C5 (bridge, black or zebra) they're not in love with? I've got a number of Duncans and a basement full of miscellaneous stuff I could trade, or am willing to buy one outright.Squawk me!
Scottcrud Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I don't have either, but what duncans do you have for sale?
JES1680 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I think I've got a black custom 5 bridge laying around. I'll check tonight.
tomteriffic Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Scott, I hadn't really wanted to sell any, but I have a couple of JB's (one black, one covered), a Hot rails, an Anico Pro II, and there may be a '59 in there.
Jack C Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I've got a double cream C5 with a chrome cover if you're interested.
tomteriffic Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Also found a Rio Tallboy Humucker in the pile. Great for an authentic single-coil sound when split.

tomteriffic Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Deal made with Captain Jack. Thanks!Scott, it's an OK low-to-medium output humbucker, but my impression of it was that it wants to be in something like a Lonestar Strat with a couple of single-coils. As far as oomph, it's lacking by direct comparison to, say a SD '59 or similar. Next to a couple of singles, it's the perfect extra kick in the pants and can still sound authentic as a single-coil.
