wyldbil Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Curiosity- what does it look like under that rosewood?
FatherJones.Com Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 It looks like a piece of plain wood with filler, and goes down about .5 inch. Some freak must have routed it out for a weird tailpiece. The nut is original though -- so it must not have been locking. The little piece of flamed ebony veneer is wood glued over top the icky little repair somebody else did, and the sustain block is mounted on top of that. A good luthier could easily repair it properly -- but I'm not that guy.
black magic Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 To the buyer, give it to BCR Greg and return her to close to original!! That guitar deserves that much. Jack.
Travis Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 How thin is the neck? Is it shredder thin, or thinner than 50's Les Paul baseball bat thin?
data187 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 how much would it be for bcr greg to get it fixed to either a sustain block or tuneomatic bridge?
FatherJones.Com Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 Maybe people aren't reading this posting -- IT ALREADY HAS A SUSTAIN BLOCK ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
BCR Greg Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Toss that close up pic on here, Faddah, and they'll see it.
