2nd Generation Cruisebasses--passive vs. active?

I am the proud owner of a 1st generation Hamer Cruisebass, thanks to GusS.

Eventually, I want to buy a 2nd generation fretless five string, but I am hoping that it will be passive, if possible.   The only one I have seen for sale, so far, was active.  Are there any passive fretless Cruisebass fivers out there?

Do all the active Cruisebasses feature EMG pickups?  Are there any other visual cues, for instance, does the back compartment look any different?  I saw reference online to a Cruisebass Custom model, but it looked like it still had the standard 2nd generation headstock logo.

I know that Dimarzio made the 1st generation pickups.  Can anybody please tell me who made the 2nd generation passive pickups (the non-EMGs?)

It seems most 5-stringers are active. I gave up on finding a passive one when I bought my Tobias.

Some of the 2nd gen cruises came with Seymour Duncan "Bassline" active pickups - I can only recall seeing them on 5 string but I guess either way that doesn't help your search.
