hamerhead Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 My son-in-law has a pair of Sony bookshelf speakers (approx 12x8x8, 15 lbs?) he wants to mount from the ceiling. I put him onto some Monoprice brackets, but was wondering if/how any of you have done the same. Thanks.
cynic Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I've built simple lantern style boxes using square (L and W) pieces of wood at the top and bottom with a dowel (H) in each corner and hung them from a standard swag-lamp hook and chain. Like this but way more simplistic.
killerteddybear Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Once upon a time I mounted a pair of shelves near the ceiling and plopped the speakers on them. I was building the house at the time so I even managed to run speaker wiring through the walls.
