P Franco Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Hello, Having a small issue with my 1981 Hamer Vector. The top mounted 1/4 inch instrument cable does not stay connected, keeps falling out. Any suggestions on a specific replacement?
Dave Scepter Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 You might get away with bending the spring contacts enough to hold cable again... or You can use any type like "Switchcraft" but I just recently replaced mine with a "Pure-Tone" 1/4" output Jack... pretty stout & holds cable tight (highly recommend) Pure Tone Mono Multi-Contact 1/4 inch Output Jack - Nickel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N94UUD0/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_SMWN2SSNXWJHHSFX45AA Unless you want the look of the original 1/4" Jack - Peavey, Mono, non-insulated https://reverb.com/item/2996976-1-4-jack-peavey-mono-non-insulated?utm_source=android-app&utm_medium=android-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=2996976
Tortious Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 I just want to thank both of you for using the correct term 'output jack'. 🤩🤘
