crunchee Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 No affiliation. Supposedly (according to sources online), Fender's biggest tube amp ever. The MojoTone/Ampwares knowledge base entry says it weighs as much as a Twin Reverb by itself: https://www.davesguitar.com/products/400-ps-head-70s https://ampwares.com/amplifiers/fender-400-ps-bass Edited to add: DGS just got in '70's Fender PA 135 and PA 100 tube amp heads as well. Methinks some collector has cashed in his collection of boat anchors: https://www.davesguitar.com/collections/all-products-latest/products/pa-135-head-70s https://www.davesguitar.com/collections/all-products-latest/products/pa-100-head-70s
Dutchman Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 That would be a very clean amp for country or R&B.
Jimbilly Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 For when an SVT just isn't quite enough. I had a '68 SVT for quite a while, it was heavy enough, and impractical enough. I only wish I'd kept it for how cool and collectible it was. I think the 400PS might be a little too rare.
BoogieMKIIA Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 SIX(6)! 6550 tubes! Rated 435W. Drive it to distortion and lights dim.
hamerican gigolo Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I remember a story about someone who owned a 400 PS. They stated that they would turn it up to play & the whole room would literally shake. 😯
