I’m still most likely that none of the people listing the bass (or item) actually have it in their possession. They copy the photos, description and set a price. If a seller buys it now or is the high bidder, they attempt to purchase the bass/item and then score a profit. In the case where the bass/item has already been sold, they simply cancel the sale/auction and return the money. The auction sites are flooded with these speculators and copycats. Weird business model.
narad Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Yea, this bass is at a local secondhand shop. It's about $2300 there at the current JPY/USD rates, if you want to get a feel for what the margins are like.
