SteveE9C6 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 This arrived this morning via fedex. Very Interesting guitar. Has tone pros and Sperzels added. It also has push pull coil splits on each pup. Perhaps the most unusual surprise is the radius. The radius on this is very flat and wide with a medium neck. It feels like a 12" radius but I can't check until I get her home.
pesocaster Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 wow... nice looking gee-tar there ... dig the Tone Pro's bridge.....Nice score!
raymund Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Steve, you lucky man. I was too late Am very interested how it sounds.
SteveE9C6 Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Should be a 14" radius I did a search here using the term radius. One post said that the usual Hamer radius was 14". Is that correct??? (Doesn't sound right to me.) This neck seems quite a bit wider and flatter than all of my other Hamers. It's a nice neck. Can't wait to plug her in.
Guest galejt Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Wider neck!WIDER NECK!!!I claim dibs ifin you sellit.
silentman Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 It sounds like you're describing a mid-90's neck to me.
SteveE9C6 Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 It's a 95'.... guess that is pretty mid 90's
FrankieII Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 How wide is wider? Hamers standard width for that era was a tad under 1-11/16".
luiss Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 It seems a '95/'96 Studio just like mine(but mine in natural finish).I put a Tonepros bridge too and the guitar felt better to me.....Neck width was medium/thick one (3 pieces)....Congrats for the score.
Brewmaster Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Those are the best of the Studios IMHO. Play the crap out of it!!!!!!!!
