  1. I love mine (not the + version)
  2. Chimay ? Could you invite me to another showoff with a dead battery ?
  3. +1 with Steve and CMathes. I have a 84 Boogie Studio 22 in wooden cab. Not only does it have the high gain Boogie sound, but also a fantastic clean channel. One of the best jazzers in the world, Wolfgang Muthspiel, obviously was of the same opinion. After he played my Boogie at a gig he wanted to buy it, but: this amp will always stay with me.
  4. With a little time lag to this thread. Despite my love for Hamers my 95 LP Premium Plus is still my number 1.
  5. Some of my favourite lyrics: Scuze me ... while I kiss the sky ... Jimi Hendrix Watch out where the Huskys go Don´t you eat that yellow snow Frank Zappa I boogied in the kitchen I boogied in the hall I got some on my finger So I wiped it on the wall! Chuck Berry
  6. For me: Golden Earring and The Who 1970, Vienna, Austria
  7. Definitely + 1 for Who Live at Leeds (saw them 1970 and was deaf for 3 days) + 1 for Humble Pie Live at Fillmore (Stone Cold Fever and I Don´t Need No Doctor are great while their studio records are pretty lame) and Wishbone Ash (while their studio records weren´t bad, their live record was sensational)
  8. Amen Bro ! I am nearly 50 and still play "My Generation"
  9. They change the rules very soon again: in the future you have to queue stark naked with your boarding pass between your teeth
  10. Love the community here, but am very egoistic No guitar I am bonding leaves my hands until the grave - or my wifey orders
  11. I recommend the MI Audio Tube Zone or the very reasonably priced Blues Pro (http://www.miaudio.com) made by Michael Ibrahim in Sydney, but aslo available in the US (e.g. http://www.Musictoyz.com). Also very satisfying are the Tech 21 Sansamp GT-2 or original Ibanez Tubescreamer or Ibanez OD-855.
  12. I love my MI Audio Tube Zone and Blues Pro as well as my Tech 21 Sans Amp GT-2 and my 70ies Ibanez OD-855 Overdrive (the daddy of the Tubescreamer)
  13. +1 for Ceriatone. Nik Aziz is a great guy to deal with.
  14. I had the best experiences with Virtuoso Polish and Cleaner.
  15. I faced a very similar problem. I play a Mesa Boogie Studio 22 with its typical sound. But for a different sound from time to time I use my Tech 21 Sans Amp GT-2 as a stomp box. You can get a very nice Fender and even a quite accurate Marshall sound out of your Boogie. To me the Sans Amp GT-2 is like an amp modeller with a beautiful vintage sound and a very good overdrive/distortion pedal at the same time. Check the sound samples at http://www.tech21nyc.com.
