  1. How long ago has it been since Wyldbil passed ??? I remember reading his posts regularly. I don't spend nearly as much time on here as I once did. Frank
  2. Very sad, but expected. Rick was constantly sending guitars to the factory to fix them up after getting beaten on the road. I wonder where he'll go now. For that matter, I wonder how he feels about this, considering he is.....or was....... the #1 Hamer endorser.
  3. I just bought a Nady UHS wireless unit. It's the first wireless I've ever used. My first impression is, that I like it and I'm not hearing any signal problems.......sounds great. I do, however, have a problem with it. How do I hook it up and use a wah and overdrive ??? Using these pedals through a loop sounds HORRIBLE. I tried to hook it up by running a long chord from the wirelss receiver to the wah and back to the amp, but that was very thin sounding........unless I did something wrong. Anyway........... how do you do it ??? Frank
  4. I've got 3 Hamer's: 1 Standard 2 Studio's. I've got 4 Fender's: 2 customized MIM Strats 1 MIM Tele 1 MIJ Tele At one time, I had 6 Hamer's, but sold the 3 when I downsized my collection several years ago. For quite a while, I only had the 3 Hamer guitars, but suddenly got hooked on Fender guitars.
  5. Wow...........I'm thinking that guitar is way cool. Hamer should take a good look at that.................... I'm thinking that should be more like 22.75 Hamers... The .5 is the Hamer USA Daytona neck on my Mighty Hamer Daytona Mite. Late 70s Mighty Mite(Wayne Charvel) Explorer body mated with a Daytona neck. Love!
  6. I, too, would love a "TONE TO THE BONE" shirt. Those just kick ass. I never had one, but would love one. Frank
  7. cmatthes, I would definitely be interested in the first version that you printed back in '99 with the headstocks on the back and the Standard on the left chest. I don't know how many shirts and what the cost would need to be to make money on the run.........but chew on it a while and let us know. I AM INTERESTED. Frank
  8. I really loved the old design with the headstocks on the back and the Standard on the left chest. That was a great design ! If someone were interested in resurrecting that design, I would definitely be in for more than a couple shirts. Frank
  9. Once upon a time, what seems many years ago, a member here at the HFC had some T-shirts made. I would certainly love to see that opportunity come up again. Also...what's up with Hamer and why don't they have any shirts available ??? Frank
  10. I love Hamer guitars, but I think everyone realizes that there are other nice guitars out there. It's tough to stick with one exclusive brand. Right now, I have 3 Hamer USA models........a Standard, and two Studio's. I also have a Fender Japanese made Telecaster which I love and a very nice Fender Ash 60th Anniversary Strat.
  11. When I think of great bass players, I think of these guys, in no particular order: Dennis Dunaway, from the original Alice Cooper band. This guy doesn't get nearly as much credit as he deserved. He was a monster player with a unique style and he managed to lay down some of the most amazing bass tracks ever, in my opinion. He could definitely hang with the very best bass players in the world, in my opinion.........yet no one ever thinks of him. Take the time to listen to some of the tracks from Schools Out, Billion Dollar Babies or Love It to Death and I think you'll be surprised. Geezer Butler laid down some of the coolest bass tracks ever. His bass playing is simply amazing in Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage and Vol. 4. John Paul Jones laid down some of the coolest bass tracks ever, not to mention all of his other talents. Geddy Lee is definitely an awesome player, simply one of the best bass players on earth.
  12. WOW ! I've always felt that Aerosmith had THE tone. rockfish
  13. I totally agree. That green one is the finest looking Standard I've ever seen. I had once thought (dreamed really) about ordering just such a Standard. rockfish
