  1. I emailed him. And I wouldn’t say he fixed it. If anything it’s more confusing than ever.
  2. 1998 Avalon on Reverb Seller lists it as a 2010,but it's a '98. His opening sentence is not only inaccurate, it's seizure-inducing: "As new, a 2010 last run made by Robin Avalon Electric Guitars, Made in the USA!!!!!" He closes with "Robin Guitars ceased productions in Texas in 2010. So this beauty has sat in its case ( air conditioned ) for over 10 years." I don't know where he got 2010 from, or where one can find an air conditioned guitar case, but the serial number is clearly from 1998, if he had bothered to look. Also, the standard humbucker mounting rings are a dead giveaway.
  3. Dave Wintz had put Robin Guitars on a temporary hiatus (which turned out to be permanent) in 2010. He told me some months later that he had some leftover guitars that he was finishing up here and there. Among them were this Apollo and a Savoy with a natural top, so I bought them both.
  4. I sold it to Kashola. Serial number 101001, by the way...
  5. Ok, here's one that's as rare and cool as they come. AND it's reasonably-priced! WITH the OHSC! On Reverb
  6. I was thinking that same thing.
  7. On Reverb: Great price on a 1990 Ranger in Japan!! Mother of toilet seat tops are very rare.
  8. It's more Bigsby than Strat/Floyd.
  9. They were back then, yes.
  10. Jump on this one. $1200 shipped w/OHSC
  11. Well aren't you the clever boy.
  12. Yes, that's correct. That's what Dave guessed.
  13. Indeed. I remember when Pavarotti began to question his own talent when he heard the vocals on "She's My Little Rock & Roll."
  14. You couldn't PAY me to hit that fucking link.
  15. Surprisingly little interest in those. There's no accounting for taste.
  16. That is correct! You're not that smart. No, kidding! It is the Apollo.
  17. Actually, @MCChris named it, along with the Explorer copy. Do you recall that name?
  18. No, but that's a good one.
  19. Trivia Question: What is the (Robin) name for this model?
  20. The E-Types were shipped to Greg sans pickguard. I don't know why some fit well and others... well... don't. But they are cool in that they are more Fender than Robin. No neck pickup route. These were supposed to be set apart from the Wranglers as custom, not a variation of the available parts in the shop.
