Gave Stephen Stills s/t side 2 a whirl this afternoon. Nice feature on this one in a recent Classic Rock mag. Apparently Hendrix's final session makes up a tune. I love the use/makeup of the backing vox on this record.

It was a table set at a dick joke, yeah, but non malicious. No biggie. ;-) The guitars at the HOF where kind of secondary after seeing Ricks Picks but I was taken aback at the neglected state of many of them, and not in a cool, "we're keeping them just as we got them kind of way." The coolest things I thought were the various hand written lyrics. Muse... Classic. Enjoy the game!

I dig the induction ceremony with the speeches and jams, but the building itself, in Cleveland, was largely a let down. The "hall" itself is a joke. Plaques? Please. The FYE was almost the most impressive thing there. I wonder how I would have felt about it had I not come directly from Rick's Picks in Rockford, which was the most moving museum/display experience I'd ever seen. And we have some good museums 'round here.

That's excactly our schpeel! I told him that going in, and he's like, I want $475 so I guess we can't do business.

Someone wanted us to buy their guitar. A guitar that had been selling for as low as 400, they wanted us to give them 475. Baffled by people who want to sell gear to the store and expect us to pay equal to/more than what the gear sells for. Seriously. What process goes on in someone's mind to even propose such a deal? Are they clueless? Indignant? I really want to turn the tables and dissect how they come up with their numbers, determine if they realize the store has to make a profit, and have the light bulb go off for them, but alas, I just vent here and probably alienate someone.
