If you know, then you know this is one of the best production years for the R9. The neck is tapered perfectly to fit one's hand around. Look around on the best forums, and you'll see people arguing about the best production years, but most agree this model was the best year in recent history until you get back to the actual 1950s! Comes with original brown leather case with purple plush interior. It's in excellent condition, no dings or scratches that damage the paint - the only wear and tear marks are on the headstock from string changes, as well as some unnoticeable marks that you wouldn't see unless you held a flashlight up to the specific areas near the knobs. It sings when plugged into any amp - but pairs the best with Fender Reverb's and Mesa Boogie's in my opinion. I wish I didn't have to part with it, as I love it more than any of my other guitars, but so it goes - so I'm trying to give it's new owner an incredible deal, I will do $4,200 Shipped. Question, since he is only one guy, any idea on how long the current 20 guitars or so he has on order are going to take? Is he going to be hiring some folks to help him now that he has a bunch of orders?

I saw these guys at a house party about a year before the album came out. I was blown away seeing what Eddie was doing. He did change the world. I don't think most young guys really realize what a game changer he was.

Just got an email from Geoff. The kid got the guitar and loves it. He will be getting the care package from Elduave on Monday when he sees Geoff for his lesson. Geoff has some video that he will be posting shortly of the kid playing the guitar. Thanks again to everyone who participated in this. We done good.

The guitar has been shipped. It will be arriving to Geoff's house on Wednesday. The kid will be getting shortly thereafter. We had $40 left over and sent it to Dave from Rocketeria and he is putting a care package together. It will include some strings, straplocks and some string cutters. I am sure Geoff will update us later this week. Thanks again for everyone who donated cash.

I think shipping will be around $50. I will buy him a few sets of strings with the balance unless someone has a better idea. Again, I don't know how I got involved but thanks for letting me, this have been a great experience. I know this kid will love this thing.

Here are some very quick pictures of the guitar. It is in very good shape. There is one little minor ding by the knobs but not through the surface. It has a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge and a Gibson Neck pickup.
