Most companies would charge a ton for that realistic relic'ing! haha. -
NAD! The PRS 'David Grissom' DGT15 amp.

It's so funny, speakers are probably the most overlooked element in the entire chain. Seems like people agonize over pickups, pots, tone capacitors, cables etc. Those make like a 5% difference in tone, whereas Speakers can probably change your tone by 30-40%! -
What is going on here? Jimi counting the frets to find the key? https://www.facebook.com/reel/492422473531883

I think I'll replace the V30 in the PRS cab with another Alnico Tone Tubby Red. That speaker just makes every amp sound better. It's like Sonic Voodoo (Good band name, right?) -

NAD! The PRS 'David Grissom' DGT15 amp.

My little review of the PRS David Grissom DGT 15 amp. I saw some really great video clips featuring this amp. The Doug Sewell designed PRS 'David Grissom' DGT 15 amp. Head and 1x12 cab. 15 watts, Tube Spring Reverb and a Tube-Bias Tremolo. Cab has a Chinese Celestion V30 (Not a usual favorite speaker for muah) On the face, it seems like a pretty simple amp. But, it has some really nice features. Basically a single-channel amp with a foot-switchable boost, which makes it almost a 2-channel amp. More on that in a second. Nice size and weight. Looks and feels rock solid, should hold up nicely for a gigging person. I've never been a big fan of Creme tolex, but it's growing on me and I like the grill cloth choice, matched my other cabs. It's a ported over-sized 1x12 that they worked on to get the best tone. These oval ported cabs seem to be the hot ticket now. Dumble used them, Two-Rock uses them as well as others have now joined in. OK, cut to the chase... after firing it up, it totally rocks. It's a bit of a one-trick-pony, but it sounds superb. It kinda' lives in the middle ground of gain. Not super clean, even with the master on 10 and gain low. And, won't get as clean as my other low-wattage amps. It seems to always have a slightly pushed clean. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that type of tone and usually run there anyway. But, if you want crystal-like clean, you won't get it. The entire range of the gain is the middle-ground. Pushed clean to Classic Rock, no metal. One thing you do get is a wide range of that middle ground as it was designed to favor that. I have to say, I just played the amp yesterday and it was absolutely amazing, didn't want to stop. I kept switching out guitars and each one just shined. I bought the head first and then got the cab to match. My OCD kicked in to have a matching color cab. One caveat, I did prefer my other 1x12 https://stagecraftgear.com/ cab with an Alnico Tone Tubby Red even better. Peeps, they make some awesome custom cabs if you want to get one that matches whatever color and grill you might need. (I have two and can't recommend them any higher). Back to the fun stuff... There is so much detail to this amp. It's tight and articulate, but still sags a bit with a Tube Rectifier (Oddly, the website doesn't state it has a Tube Rectifier, but it does) Everything sounded warm and juicy for a better word. Again, all in that middle-gain world. The amp does respond well to guitar volume changes which is a big plus. The tube reverb is perfect, not too much, not crazy. But, the tube-bias Tremolo just sound freakin' awesome. I read, they spent a lot of time getting that right and they did. No EFX loop on this one, that might turn a few off, but you know, after years of running a complicated 4-cable rig, my last pedal board is just old-school, all before the amp and I honestly don't think the 4-cable way sounded that much better. If you are doing a lot of cover stuff that required a lot of fancy chorus or delay stuff, it might, but just blues and rockin', I'm fine without the EFX loop, just my 2.5¢. Some other features of the amp are the Boost and switching. There is a Master Volume that works really well. You can switch the Master in/out completely or have it switch 'In' when you add the Boost to add gain and match volume. Or, leave it out to get a big gain boost for solos, lots of options. You can also add a Bright switch to the switching. Interesting as you can take the Bright OUT when hitting the Boost button. Thus, having a cleaner, brighter tone for Rhythm and a slightly darker tone for boosted solos. Again, your choice. It'll definitely get loud enough for a playing with a drummer as it doesn't try to be a 'uber-clean' amp. I had another Doug Sewell PRS amp, the 2-Channel Custom that I really liked a while back. That Doug Sewell guy is pretty sharp. Bottom line, I highly recommend you go check this puppy out, I think you will be floored. ernie -
SOLD! Koch - Greg Koch Signature 'Little Gristle' 1x12 Tweed Combo w/Reverb I would call it near-mint. Not a mark on it. 100% original. I just can't call it 'mint' as I've played it for a year and only in my non-smoking home. Great sounding combo, covers a lot of ground. Big fat clean tone and rips when you crank it up. Loaded with an EL-34, so it leans a bit more to the Marshall territory. But, it's auto-bias, so you can run pretty much any tube (6V6, 6L6, EL34, 5881 etc. for a different flavor. Has boost gain switch and switchable Recording output (Off for using your own IR or On for the internal Cab Simulated tone for recording/FOH live use.) Can also be run silent as it also has a built-in speaker load. Also has a real spring tank Reverb. Knobs and Switches are just funny, as so is Greg - haha Gristle - Input Gain More - Master Volume Tone - Tone Extra - More Gain Cab Filter - In or Out Switchable from 12watts, down to 4watts. Has a Koch VG12-60 speaker. I've tried it with a few external cabs I had around and the original speaker sounds great with it. It's definitely loud enough to use live with an average drummer. I have my original Koch shipping box too. SOLD!!!! $800. Shipped/Paypal F&F Not interested in any trades on this one. Message me with any questions - thx, Ernie Manufacturer Info: Koch Guitar Amplifiers in conjunction with Greg Koch (no relation) would like to introduce the Little Gristle! This twill covered single 12 combo has brought the late 50’s into 2023, for both the vintage purist, and the modern guitarist. The Class A, single ended amp has only 4 controls (Gristle/preamp control, the Tone control, and More/power amp control, plus the Extra switch to add some dirt), and can be switched from 4 to 12 watts. The Koch designed Power Soak and speaker simulator allows the actual speaker to be disconnected and the amp driven straight into a recording console. Finally, a classic reverb tank completes the package. Plug into the Little Gristle with your favorite guitar…or any guitar! Dial in something clean or more edgy and you will be taken by the purity and honesty of this amplifier. Like it’s relatives from the tweed era, the Little Gristle reacts to your playing style in a very organic and musical fashion….lighten up on your pick and the amp cleans up….dig in and the amp will bite back…not in a modern overdrive way, but a very vintagy tube driven way that fits with any style of music. So, the question is…what style of amp is the new Koch Little Gristle? Is it a blues amp, a rock amp, a jazz amp or a country amp? The answer is yes! The history of guitar amplification is punctuated by certain eras or models, like the Black-face era or the Plexi Era. However, there is no era as iconic as the tweed amp era of the late 50’s and early 60’s. These amps were (and are) highly prized for their well-earned reputation of world class tone and simplistic controls. They were and are being used in virtually every genre of music and have helped create the signature tones and styles of many guitar players….in fact, you can barely listen to music these days without hearing the influence of tweed amps somewhere in the mix….or at least a tweed amp model.

Robotic Anguinal Hernia Surgery
santellavision replied to geoff_hartwell's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Robotic surgery is freakin' amazing. I had a HUGE robotic surgery last year called a "Robotic Simple Prostatectomy". I had extreme BPH, I could barely pee, it was horrible. PSA was 15!!!. So after 3 no-fun Biopsies, 2 MRI's, my prostate was over double the normal size. The high PSA turned out to be due to the BPH, not cancer - whew! This was the best treatment for the long term. Other treatments don't last and you have to redo some of them. I went for the biggie surgery, $150,000 (My wife has insanely great insurance and we already met our deductible) For a simple explanation... they go in and take out the goopy part and leave the prostate intact instead of removing it, so no nerve or peeing issues etc (I had no cancer thank god) Got 6 holes in me and yeah, had to have a catheter for 10 days - That sucked. I'm peeing like an 18 year again and you can barely see the holes. For the fun stuff, we've been binge-watching The Penguin, Tulsa, Silo. All good shows.
