I've had 3 Boogies and had problems with 2... I have to admit my Boogies weren't the high end stuff: I had a Studio 22, DC-3 and DC-5. the amps I had trouble with are the Studio 22 and DC-3. Both amps had trouble in the poweramp section. Do not know if it has anything to do with the fact that both amps use EL84 poweramp tubes. The DC-5 had 6L6 and everything was fine. Anyway, sold them all (after havin' repaired the faulty amps of course...). and probably will not use them ever again, mostly due to the fact that the company never replied to my mails. But then again, I live in Europe and I think they take more care of their US customers... Thank God the Hamer company is totally different!

I'd play Sultans if I could find a rhythm guitar player who could play his part right.... Not that I play the lead parts note for note, but without that rhythm kickin' it sucks. Know what you mean... I sing it and have to play the rhythm at the same time...

Never wanted to do this one, cause it seems everybody plays it... On the other hand, it's a challenge to play it the way it should be... Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits) always helps to get people dancin'... Proud Mary in Tina Turner version's also good, When the lady Smiles (Golden Earring) is a topper also...

Me too... Here's the vinyl collection: all original 60ies mono + stereo UK pressings, 1970-1975 stereo UK pressings, 1976-1978 stereo UK pressings, 1971 USA pressings (Apple-label), 1969 German pressings and some bootlegs... Most of the records are in excellent condition... Have also all the Lennon & Mc Cartney stuff on vinyl that was ever brougth out on vinyl and most of the Harrison and Starr stuff on vinyl... I think my Beatles collection is over 150 records... Bit crazy, but I enjoy listening to the different pressings just to discover a slight difference with another pressing... My mom always told me when I was young: if only you knew your lessons as well as the Beatles...
