Scottcrud Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Fisrt time I saw Slayer was for the South Of Heaven tour, It's all dark and smokey and I'm in the back of the venue and out comes Kerry King and he starts the intro to south of Heaven, I'm like, why is that guy on his knees, the guy next to me says he's standing up, he's just SHORT.
edgar_allan_poe Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I am about 5'10" My guess is that Kerry is somewhere around 5'5". In other words...about 3 inches taller than BCR Greg.
mattb Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Used to see Kerry often at what is the Old El n' Gee in New London. He was vertically challenged.
black magic Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I have seen Slayer many times and can tell you, Kerry being short has nothing to do with the fact that he smokes on guitar!! Ok, he is short ;-) Jack.
DEMENTED Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 I have seen Slayer many times and can tell you, Kerry being short has nothing to do with the fact that he smokes on guitar!! Ok, he is short ;-) Jack. I've seen Slayer too and I thought Kerry was horrible...Jeff was the better player in my opinion, YMMV.
Scottcrud Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Jef is a better player. Kerry finally took lessons before the Seasons in the Abyss cd came out, he said he was tired of Jeff playing all of the technical solos, while he was just killing a cat with his Kahler whammy bar.
black magic Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Well, he is very good compared to me. Jeff Hanneman is my favorite guitarist by the way. Jack.
