0 LucSulla Posted July 7, 2025 Posted July 7, 2025 I like having both options. I have a Cusak Music More Louder that is switchable. It's the last thing in my loop, so it is generally on. However, once in a blue moon, I feel like I put it into an effects loop that acts odd with a buffer, so being able to switch it off is nice. If I ever moved it in the chain, say in front of a fuzz for whatever reason, having an option to kill the buffer is nice too. Quote
0 tbonesullivan Posted July 8, 2025 Posted July 8, 2025 The only dedicated "boost" I have is the Seymour Duncan pickup booster, which is true bypass, and actually needs to be directly connected to the guitar electronics without any buffer for it to work properly. It also depends on your rig setup. There are also some dedicated boosters that are not entirely clear on whether they are true bypass or not. Quote
