Saul Goodman Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 I opened a SoundCloud account a while ago and have forgotten my login credentials. But while I was noseying around I wanted to listen to something that caught my eye. I clicked on it and SoundCloud wanted me to login to listen to it. This doesn't seem like a good way to share your music because if I want to share it with a friend who doesn't have an account then how will they hear it? YouTube seems like a good way to share if you also know how to make a video. Not sure if I want to do that or care to do that. I know nothing about Spotify or if I could use it for my purposes. What else is out there? I know you can't avoid compression issues with streaming platforms but who has the least compression?
LucSulla Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 Google Drive. You can upload it there and share a link so that anyone with the link can listen. You just need to make sure set it up that way when copying the link.
geoff_hartwell Posted August 16, 2025 Posted August 16, 2025 You can also make a “video” of a photo or logo and your song super easily. A slideshow if you’re feeling daffy, and a Lyric video if you’re ambitious. But a YT video of your song with a photo or logo will get it happenin quick. My caveman way might be to copy a logo file on top of another 20 times and make that a slideshow video with your track as the soundtrack (don’t hate, technology just hates me!) buuuuut Than any human with a phone could listen to it lol
Jakeboy Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 YouTube is easy. Use CDBaby to get on all the major streaming platforms or you can load direct to Bandcamp for free and they have a great audience and anyone can use it.
