That rhythm section - Stu Cook and Doug Clifford - never got the credit they deserved, nor did brother Tom. John was the brains, but those guys were the backbone. 5 Quote

Every band has a certain chemistry and even if you replace members with superior musicians (not that this happened with CCR), sometimes the vibe of the band is lost. 1 Quote

Fogerty recorded a lot of the instruments himself. He was notorious for going to Fantasy Studios after hours and redubbing tracks. Quote
