0 cynic Posted Tuesday at 07:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:43 PM Stupid question, but do you have a multimeter with this symbol on it? 3 Quote
0 Jimbilly Posted Tuesday at 08:36 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 08:36 PM No, I have had a Fluke 73 III that doesn't do capacitance. If the Peak actually does 'in circuit' testing, which I take to mean you don't have to remove the capacitor to test it, and other testers would require removal, - that feature would be really useful. 0 JGale Posted Wednesday at 02:24 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:24 AM Peak is the real shit. I have a $25 unit but you have to put the leads into a slot, so testing small devices is a pain, involving old resistors leads sticking out and wrangling them to contact the cap leads. 1 Quote

I've been looking for something like this to start checking/repairing some of the vintage receivers that I have laying around👍 And it's on sale 😃 Edited Wednesday at 04:06 AM by Dave Scepter 1 Quote

0 Dutchman Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I have a peak esr tester. It doesn't work on small caps. It's excellent on electrolytic, which I think is what it was meant for. I also have a BK precision 810C. I really like that one it measures the tiniest caps other just float open on. So Unless you need the ESR read out the BK 810 C is a nice older unit! Quote
