nosajwp Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Does anyone have a Cali Elite they want to sell? I'd like to try a flamey one, with boomers and all that stuff. A Kahler would be excellent, but I'll look at Floyd-equipped models as well.
Jem Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 There's a flame Elite on Ebay now - Kurt's on it but don't let him have the satisfaction Jem Oh, and i may be wrong but i have a feeling Kahler had gone pearshaped by the time the Cali was introduced.

Oh yeah?? well...I'm loading up my "sniping" software as I speak...hehehe
Jem Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Well i've got two flame Elite's so you've got no worries from over the pond ! Jem
atquinn Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I'll almost certainly be selling mine within a month or so (sometime after I move to New York in a couple weeks), but I'll want more than whatever the eBay one goes for because mine's in better condition and looks better Still, unreasonably high offers might be accepted right away . -Austin
karmma1 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I have been watching that cali 'leet on ebay too, pretty sexy axe...But damn Atquinn, i must confess that yours is gorgeous.
kurtsstuff Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Well...I'm out of the race..I forgot..I've owned a few of the Maple Cali's and always found them to be way to bright to my ears but thats just me....They are great guitars but don't work for me....as Carlos Mencia would say...DITDIDUH!!! hehe
nitro Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 ATQUINN what condition is that cali orange monster in and what price are you looking at thanks for your time.........
hansv Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 im interested in the maple Cali too... got any price in mind?
atquinn Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 ATQUINN what condition is that cali orange monster in and what price are you looking at thanks for your time......... It's in excellent condition, no dings or dents. There is some wear on the finish in the back middle of the neck (from frets 2 to 5), that you can feel when you're playing, but it's not visible. This happened from a couple of months of playing, so I imagine that, with enough play, the finish will wear through and start to get nice and dingy (I've seen some Cali's on the 'bay with necks like that before). Also, while it is stock now, (parallel Axis pickups in the neck and bridge) the neck pickup has been swapped out a few times, so the guitar is not technically "stock", it's "returned to stock". Price-wise, I'm looking for something north of 1K, but I'm not sure exactly what yet. Hamer shredders seem to have been going up a bit in price lately and these don't come up for sale very often, so I'm going to see where the one on eBay ends up and probably base my asking price on that. I figure I should be able to get more because mine's in better shape and I'm willing to ship it anywhere. But like I said, unless I get some ridiculous offer, I'm not going to really try selling it for another couple of weeks. -Austin
ZR Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 That one on Ebay closed at $1452!! So, I guess that will take me out of the running for yours!! So much for Hamer not getting respect in the market. It's funny how that old shredder with some body / face dents can demand that much and the studio someone got for just under $600 but that's the only type they're making!! Yes, they have the right to make whatever they want. I'm just a disgruntled Hamer shredder fan.
