Lockbody Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Mono in, Stereo out iz best. Just got Kurt's Triaxis (Woo hoo! Eight channel amp!), and I'm currently using my Boss GT-8 in what's called the "four-cable method" (and actually I'm using five since it's stereo). Looking to simplify this a hair. And I mean "inexpensive", too Whatcha got?
hardheartedbill Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 got a 100 dollar digitech unit , sounds fine if you can live w/ presets, it's stored but I think it's called the DSP 164 or something , it's actually on some of the BBD recording, lemme know if I should get it out
Lockbody Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 Thanks Bill, but I like a little more control than presets only.
sw686blue Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Ya cheap bastads!!!!I had my Alesis Midiverb4 for $75 shipped to your door and no one wanted it.Today, it's going to a good home.
silentman Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I'm willing to pay more. I need more flexibility than what that unit had. F you!
Phantom Hawk Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 GSP 21's by Digitech are pretty cheap on ebay. They have a shitload of effects, presets, and programmable user presets. The foot controller was easy to set up, too, so you can arrange your favorites however you like. I used one when I was playing clubs years ago and it was great.

ZR Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I also use a Multivalve and I've had it longer that just about anything I own. I'm sure there's better out there but it's an awesome value and sounds great!

Hamer Bass Head Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 zoom's rfx 2200 can be had for about $200 new.... it does damn near everything. If you combine it with a DMC ground control (like the dreamiest paults...or me) with expression pedals you should be set....unless you want to be vernon reid, reeves gabrels or adrian belew..... then add a second and you should be ok. I added one about a year ago to my bass rack and when I have nothing to do I crack a beer, sit down and go through the presets and tweak them to see what I can come up with; cool wahs and envelope filter fx, chorus, flange, phase, delays, reverbs, leslie, compression, pitch shifting, filtering (lo pass/bandpass/highpass). If you want more you're probably getting into eventide-land....
