Amps for sale

I have the following amps for sale. All prices include insured shipping and I can send pics upon request.

Mesa Boogie Mark 3 long chassis head(green stripe-the final evolution of this model), fully loaded with reverb, EQ, Simul-Class power. New tubes 6 gigs ago, including my final one(hence the sale of the stage rig) with 2 6l6's and 2 el34's. This worked very well with my Marshall 1965A 4x10 cab(also available for $325). The amp is supremely versatile and performs brilliantly, but the cosmetics are challenged; tolex tears, some faceplate scuffing, even a bit of paint on the top, but it rips and you can toss it around without having to be precious about it. Looking for $550 shipped.

Mesa Simul-Sat 1x12 combo in Tan tolex. This is a Mesa "powered speaker" intended for use in a stereo or slave rig. Very simple controls with volume, master, tone and presence plus a switchable 5 band EQ. This is a perfect rig for pedals and can do all the power section tricks with full-power to class A and Tweed power(variac) options. It has a loop and direct out, plus a boost function on the volume knob. This is NOT a gainy rig, in fact diming the volume and engaging the boost gets you into mild crunch and that's it. This makes every one of my dirt boxes sound amazing. Just back from MB after being fully serviced and retubed. $600 shipped

1967 Sano model 25RW 2x12 combo. This is an oddball that was intended for accordion and instrument use. It has a pair of 7591 output tubes and is around 25-30 watts of all-tube, handwired american (N.J.) made power. It was traded in at my local mom and pop store by a guy that was about 80 years old, and both this amp and the Hagstrom Viking he brought in were almost spotless, although he did engrave a Minnesota opration I.D. # on it discretely on the faceplate(my CAR '66 Tele had one, too). It is in very good condition and has hardly been used at all. Great reverb and a killer trem, plus a great grinding rock tone when dimed. I have never opened it up, but I'm pretty sure it has original tubes. One volume pot replaced at some point but otherwise stock. Comes with factory cover and warranty card, plus the stock footswitch. $375 shipped

I'm at lorwinerz@msn.com or 612-703-3990 for any questions. Thanks. Z

These Sano amps are hidden treasures. I bought a 20 watt dual channel 1x12 model several months ago and it is one hell of an amp for the house or small venue. First channel has 2 inputs for accordian and guitar that I would characterize as clean. Second channel has inputs for microphone and instruments that gives you a nice tube breakup with guitar at half volume and up. All point to point hand wiring and very clean. Based on my grill design I'm guessing mine was made in the 60's. The original speaker, an Oxford, is still going strong. For some good background and history on these amps go here.

Hey guys,

I bought a Mesa Boogie Simul-Satellite combo amp a couple of months ago. It's a great little amp and does what Zoner has described it can do. I like to run my Mark4 ModII ADA MP-1 preamp/ Rocktron Replifex into the effects loop return of that amp. It becomes a smokin' multi-channel tube combo amp w/digital effects setup. The EV12L speaker is killer and I installed a Beam Blocker on mine. The Simul-Class, Class A and Tweed power settings allow for the amp to get a multitude of tones when paired with a killer guitar preamp. I've used the Class A & Tweed setting quite a few times onstage at my gigs and I love the tone I can get from this amp. I give my man, Zoner, a bump so he can get his house soon!! That white tolex is real pretty to look at too.
