DavidE Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 www.rockandrollfantasycamp.comAn all day rehearsal and instruction from celebrity rock star counselors, use of top line studio quality equipment, such as: Gibson guitars, DW drums, Marshall amps, and Korg keyboards, playing in front of thousands as the opening act in the Battle of the Bands, a meet and greet with Def Leppard and Journey, two meals, merchandise, and prime pavilion seats for you and a guest for the show, all for only $2000!They're doing their first one day camp here in Columbus, Ohio. $2k for one day when they do a full week in New York City with room and board and much bigger name stars for $7k? Well, it's $9k in California and that doesn't include hotel. I might go in Columbus if it was a grand, but $2k seems like a lot!
Travis Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 You should go to Columbus and take a Hamer to play. When they offer you a Gibson, tell them "no thank you, I brought my own."
ZR Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Yeah, but whatever you do don't play a Hamer and put Gibson logos on the headstock!! (ref to another thread)
DavidE Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 I saw that you are allowed to bring your own instrument.
m chops Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 The promoter was on Cleveland radio this morning. Spencer Davis is the star. Now if it were Stevie Winwood, it might be a *little* more attractive.
Steve Haynie Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Some of the performers will do a private show in the price range of the fantasy camps. Jamming with some of them could be fun, though, IF the guys you play with are not jerks.
