pesocaster Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Hmmmmmmmm I used to own one of these... the necks are far from "thin" ... they are actually a little chunkier than Hamer's mid 90's Med neck.... and for under $500 that's a great deal..

Peso is correct, mine was the same way. This guitar is a true LP killer with true LP tones and the build quality is top notch.
black magic Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 http://www.webervst.com/bns/messages/25880.html Is this yours man? I am interested. Thanks-Jack.
currypowder Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 That one's up on the gear page. All of the other Czech Evos I've come across are 10+ lb. boat anchors. That one is super light at 8.5 lbs. I'm not sure you can do much better for under $500.
black magic Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I don`t like thin necks, but if it is like 1960`s tapered, I can deal with that. I nead a nice short scale LP kinda thing right now that doesn`t break the bank!! Thanks guys-Jack.

Jack.. these are not thin necks.... and they sound damn good.... you might want to upgrade the pickups... but I thought the stock ones sounded fine...
black magic Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ...........and, she`s mine Thanks for the lead bro`s!! Jack.
black magic Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Thanks man!! I can`t believe it lasted that long, these are top notch guitars. Jack.
Guest galejt Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Tellus about the neck when you get it. I'm curious.
murkat Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 You are going to love it. I have a czech caddy, and the build quality is just as good as any sate side made. If your not amazed, I will be truely surprized.
black magic Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I will do on the neck man. I am really excited to get this one. The only other LP type I ever owned was an old SX type copy. Yes, it was pretty much a direct LP Standard copy, but it sucked in the quality department!! Jack.
black magic Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 OK, got the neck, it is definitely high quality, really put together!! I love the SD Custom 5 in bridge. The neck is really similar to the 1960`s LP profile, very medium. The fretwork, board and binding are spot on!! The top is sweet on this guitar also. This guitar is worth way more than $500 in my opinion. These are truely best buys. Jack.
