black magic Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I am selling my all original 1988 Hamer Chap Custom in all Black with the original all functioning Hamer case. Case has some nicks, but works great and form fitting. Everything on the Chap is functioning with some touched up dings and some clear coat stress lines on the body front and back. No cracks or breaks, original pickups OBL H/S/S. New Floyd arm. I don`t want to sell this one, but since noone wants to buy the other one, I figured I`d try this one. If this sells the other one is off the market. Please email me for price and pics at jackgraner@yahoo.com Thanks-Jack.
black magic Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 Bump. are you guys telling me knoone wants this awsome Chap Custom? Sales are really slow on the new forum. Thanks-Jack.
cmatthes Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Jack: It's not the "New Forum" - you are trying to sell something at what happens to be tax time for many people who typically buy up a lot of stuff at other times of the year. There are ALWAYS slow times, and this is traditionally one of the slowest for selling anything gearwise. Other reasons would be: * Price not in line with what the current market will bear (I have no idea what you're asking, by the way - just throwing it out there) * Not posting a price always puts a chill on many prospective buyers - you have to start somewhere. I know I will typically not give a second look if no price is mentioned or it says "call for price" * Shred really IS dead! Just thoughts, and in no way being critical of your post or guitar(s) - I think those Chaps are cool, I'm just not in the market for one.
Mike_C Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Cool guitarJack I have some questions about it. Is it a set neck? what is the neck profile like on it and what are you asking for it?
cmatthes Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 It is a set neck (note Hockey/Blitz-style headstock) - the bolt-on models had a different profile. Profiles will be thin to medium/thin for those guitars (it WAS the 80s, ya know!!)Jack - quick question...Any headstock issues/repairs on that one? I'm only asking because of the small logo on there - they were using the bigger logos at that time as far as I know. Might just be the angle?
black magic Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 Yey, i can appreciate that Chris, no repairs, good condition, all functional. I actually like the small logo, but the stadium logo is cool also. Ok, a price. Well, my last one, a short scale one with a repaired headstock and not original went for $450 shipped, someone can have this one, all original for $475 Shipped USPS MO or $475 Shipped Paypal if you add on the Fees. Thnaks Chris and Mike. Jack.
serial Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Very good price for a set neck boomered Chappy I think!
black magic Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 Thanks Steve, priced to move in a tough sales market right now. As a side, once this sells, I will be down to 1 Hamer, but it will be my 1987 short scale maple top bound body Chap Custom, not a bad 1 Hamer to have!! Thanks-Jack.
cmatthes Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Ditto.Rockin' Price - you won't see one sit for that good of a deal on Ebay!
black magic Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 I know Chris, but I have kinda become Jaded towards Ebay as of late. I guess advertiseing the price helps a little :-) Thanks guys-Jack.
black magic Posted April 14, 2005 Author Posted April 14, 2005 I ordered a CS Jackson, but I am keeping my sweet 1987 Short scale maple topped Chap Custom. Jack.
