FunkyE9th Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 The nut on one of my guitars came off. What type of glue should I use to fix it? Super glue OK? I was just gonna use super glue until I went to stewmac and they have all kinds of glue....confused. Thanks, -FunkyE9th
serial Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Do not use super glue. I've used white or wood glue and had no problems (I suppose it depends on the nut material). You don't want it to be too "permanent" so as to cause splintering if/when you need to change it.
Steve Haynie Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Elmer's glue works. You only need a couple of dots.

paults Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Six strings, tuned up, make a nice clamp, too.
