peedenmark7 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 kiz, I know on the right day...it will fetch good money... wouldnt ever say it cant....I'm just saying not from me..... especially when a dot sunburst goes for scantly more than a super clean special...though fully realize some dont like the binding and the moon has to be aligned properly with jupiter for any of this to happen.I thought this was opaque not trans red ?
cmatthes Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 It SHOULD be opaque for the matching headstock (even though there was a flame maple veneer underneath the black or matching headstock finish on those). I've never seen a trans Special with a matching head.

He complained and complained and insisted that was powerless. I suggested that he rewrite his add and shoot some decent photos but he scoffed and complained some more. He got $1,900 for his while I got $2,300 for mine.I've seen some very nice shots by Kiz and others. One of my favorites by you Kiz is of the Red and Black Sunbursts together. It's an interior, studio style pic with soft light. Nice composition, good color and you captured the grain of the Red one beautifully. If you still have it ........ post it. It's been awhile.

Well, ok...since you asked... so am i wrong? this is opaque or trans? if trans its time to dump dial up ... It looks like it's opaque (which is much more rare), so my point is further made.
