alpep Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 silvertone made by Danelectro twin twelve 50 watt gutiar amp. model 1484 2-6l6, 12ax7, 6cg7, 12at7 6au6. This is the classic garage band amp everyone from the velvet underground to your uncle had one of these in the sixties. I used one to gig with in the 80's when I was afraid my amp was going to get stolen in some seedy bars. It has one original speaker a jensen special design ceramic magnet c12q c75063 220537 the other speaker has a square magnet with the numbers 3679 stamped on the top. looks like it is an eminence. Killer tone great tremolo, the reverb works. no footswitch is included, the amp has been moded for an input jack in the back. the overall condition is good it has absolutely spent some time in the basement during its life. Great sound great look. $450 plus shipping. contact me at alpep@lostartvintage.com
teleman Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I played many a gig with one of these in my youth. AAHHH the memories...
BCR Greg Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 A buddy of mine had an uncle that worked at Sears. Dave(the buddy) had a WALL of those in his garage, and we used to plug into all 8 of them at the same time. For a 10 year old, that was sonic heaven!
DavidE Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 When I was in college, I found the 100 watt 6x10 version of this amp at a flea market for $20. The amp worked, but the reverb did not. I remember it sounded kind of cool, but I didn't have room for it and my "real" amp in my dorm rom, so I sold it.

alpep Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 it has nealy 200 bucks in speakers and another 100 just in the tubesbtw eveyone should own one of these amps at least once in their lives. they do have killer tone the reverb is not the greatetst but the trem has that cheezy surf music vibe. they are loud as hell and just scream and it also screams retro!!!.this one just serviced by tom pierce
tomteriffic Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I had one of the 6 x 10 ones. With a Junior in front, it CRUSHED anything else that any of my buds had at the time and was the only thing that'd keep up with the bassist's Acoustic 360.Snap this up. They're cool.
