hamerhead Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 This guitar is incredibly nice, I just have way too many dual- humbucker guitars. It's cleaner than you'll find hanging in a store and it's gotta go to fund another Hamer purchase. $625 shipped (US ONLY!) Sorry, but NO TRADES!!
straightblues Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Which neck does it have, thinner or the vinatage thicker style? How is the tone from the guitar? I played a mahogony one and it wasn't very resonate and it was really dark sounding. Tell me about yours.
kizanski Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Without a doubt the most versitle, best bang-for-the-buck Hamer that you can get.
hamerhead Posted May 2, 2005 Author Posted May 2, 2005 The neck is bigger, but not a baseball bat. Probably medium/large to large size. I prefer them smaller, which is probably my biggest issue with it.I'd say it's just slightly darker than my LP (w/ a JB in the bridge), and maybe a little less ringy as well. Overall I liked the sound of it.Mind you, I've only played this sparingly (because I didn't bond with it instantly), and didn't want to risk doing it any harm (it is extremely clean).I'll pull it out and put it through it's paces tomorrow. I never noticed any real lack of resonance or sustain, but Tone Pros might cure any issues in that regard.I hope that helps.Tim
Brewmaster Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I know the necks on these are pretty good. Definitely a medium which I can use. Need to resist....................
hamerhead Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 Sold!Well, pending appearance of the check. LOL!
dsigman Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Let me know if this doesn't work out. I am chomping at the bit
straightblues Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I bought this Artist from Hamerhead. Just got it today. It is a wonderful guitar in very good condition. Thanks for the great deal Hamerhead. Also I would like to mention what an easy transaction it was. Hamerhead was great to deal with and did everything he said. The guitar was better than described. I am a very happy man today!!! This Artist isn't nearly as dark sounding as others I have tried. I think this will be staying with me for a long time, right next to my Newport with Phat Cats.
hamerhead Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 Cool! I told ya you'd dig it!I'm glad it got there in one piece. Now turn it up. I want to hear it!
