Camstone Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 SOLD!I've got two new guitars coming and this one is getting zero playing time so.....1997 Hamer Duotone USA, '59 burst with case. Completely stock except for ebony buttons on the Schallers (chrome ones are in the case). I bought it August '05 off of Ebay. At that time it was mint. I played this guitar quite a bit for a total of about a year, but now that I have my P90 Duotone, it's just not getting used. There is no damage through the finish. It has pick swirling and a couple of tiny depressions from the tip of a 1/4" jack, but you can only find them by hunting. Maybe 9 out of 10.Very resonant. Just a great guitar.$800 plus actual shipping (I'm in Seattle). You decide how you want it shipped, insured etc, I'll get a quote. For some reason I can't upload the pic, the board says I don't have "suitable permission" so e-mail me and I'll send you an image. If you click on my name over to the left of this post you will se a picture of four Hamers. This guitar is the one on the left.
ZR Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Did the new tuner buttons lighten the headstock area of the guitar? How much do those run? How do like the p90's compared to reg. HB's?
Camstone Posted May 7, 2007 Author Posted May 7, 2007 ZR,The guitar wasn't head heavy before. And in general is very light. I replaced the tuner buttons cause I like the way the black ones look with the headstock. The chrome buttons only weigh a coupla ounces. You can pick up the ebony replacements on Ebay for about $20. I put them on all my guitars.I love the P90 sound on my Duotone custom. In fact I just ordered another P90 guitar from Greg last Friday. I have other guitars with HB's in them.
Guest Meshuggah Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 I have had both on my Duotone. I prefer the lighter ones. If it makes much of a difference acoustically, it's slight. It just feels better, lighter overall, asif. I have had both on my Duotone. I prefer the lighter ones. If it makes much of a difference acoustically, it's slight. Guest Meshuggah Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Bernard. I would trade what your drinking for what I'm drinking any day of the year!

I know you're intrigued by a Duotone....but this isn't healthy
Matt Mattson Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Since buying my Duotone, I've started drinking, smoking, womanizing, and gambling. My only regret is I didn't buy one years ago, and I might add a second one.
Guest bacadman Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Can you send me some pics. bflahert@nycap.rr.comThanks.
