Dennis Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I would like a USA Duotone. I'd prefer something a bit older so the price is reasonable... something in the $600-$700 range. I'll consider trading a new condition Gibson satin finish doublecut with P90's and gigbag... pictures available...Contact me at dmiller@bellsouth.net with price and pictures, plus whether you are interested in a trade. Thanks,Dennis
tomteriffic Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Folks, Dennis is an old buddy and has been a member here for quite a while, he just doesn't post much. Deal with confidence.
Dennis Posted June 30, 2007 Author Posted June 30, 2007 Thanks Tom... tried to call you today, twice, but apparently you and Linnie are out running around. I've had three offers, but would still like to hear more. I wrote one person back wanting to discuss his offer some more, but haven't heard from him since. I think I scared him off!
gregc Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Dennis, I'm back home. Gimme a shout!I e-mail'd you my cell ######.
ZR Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 If I ever find the black one I'm looking for I could sell you my natural 3-holer model but I don't want to be without a Duotone for long. So, this one won't go w/o first getting it's replacement!
Guest Meshuggah Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I hear ya, but I can't bring myself to sell it a second time...yet.

I'm uncomfortable about having my import for sale without having gotten the replacement USA model yet. I'm considering whether I wouldn't prefer keeping the import to mod with different pickups and rewire it with a 3 way switch to mix tones. I just want to make sure it's different from the USA though.
Dennis Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 DING - DING - DING - DING !!!!!We have a WINNER !!!!!!!!!!Thanks Greg for a great deal and it sure was fun talking to you. I promise to take care of your baby and I assure you, visiting rights are open 10 months of the year, (when my mother-in-law isn't here for opera/symphony/ballet season)There IS a couch however, for those more sturdy among you who need a respite from cold winters... :-)

Dennis Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 doutones are my faves.Of all the Hamers, mine too... I did have an anniversary model in silver with P90's and foolishly, sold it. Since then, I've only had an import SATF which I traded to Tomterrific and my current import Duotone. To a large extent, I'm a Strat guy, but if I want to play humbuckers, Hamer just floats my boat and the opportunity to mix acoustic tone with it is the best of all worlds to me.
