MCChris Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 The Hamer Cruise and the Squier are not for sale. The G&L is: It's an '86 G&L L-1000 bass recently purchased from cswilder right here on the HFC. Totally stock, a couple very minor dings and typical playing wear for a 20+ year old bass. P Bass on steroids. Original HS case included (one latch missing but an uninstalled replacement will be included). Was $550 shipped, now only $500 shipped! More detailed photos further down in the thread. No Paypal. Postal money orders only; personal check OK if I know you.
Mindseyes Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Those G&L L-1000's are really cool basses! If i wasent amp shoping at the moment i would take it!G&L basses are really under valued on the used market kinda like hamer.
BadgerDave Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I've spent some time with that Squire and I think McChris is short-changing it by calling it a "starter bass". It plays as well as the current Fender Mexican models and has a great played-in feel. It would be perfect as a professional backup or something to play if projectiles from the crowd are a possibility.
Mindseyes Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Man i cant belive no one has snatched this up yet! These are killer basses!
lonote049 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Are you at all interested in a trade? I have been looking for a MusicMan Active SUB 4 or the G & L equivalent. I have a nice MIJ fretless Fender Jazz Bass (no lines) to trade. It's Oly White with a tort guard and ashtrays (installed by the previous owner). I have pics if you have any interest.

lonote049 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Passive, huh? Damn, I'm looking for an active bass. I don't know much about G & L basses (obviously) and thought that model was active. Oh well.

I found out when I removed the control cavity cover to replace the battery that wasn't in there in the first place LOL!
