steviej Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Let me just say how much a appreciate this site and all the cool people here like Kurtsstuff and AdmiralB. I have had a few things posted here that have sold already. However, I need to raise more funds for a closing on a new house in less than 30 days. So, here I go again............ Up for grabs is my 1979 White Gibson Les Paul Custom with the original hardshell case. The guitar is in very good condition and is all original except for (1) replaced speed knob, (2) new volume pots, Graph Tech saddles & nut, new Jumbo frets (installed 2006), and gold Schaller strap locks. Also, there is currently a Seymour Duncan 59' with gold cover in the bridge postion, but the original bridge pickup is also included. The finish has yellowed to a nice creamy white. There is some "worming" on the back, but too deep and nothing through the finish. The top is 3 pieces. One of the seams runs through the top tailpiece stud, and was small separation in front of and behind that stud that I had professionally sealed. However, it is still visible up close. Mine's relic'd the old-fashoned way, and lately (w/ a Pearly Gates in the bridge) I'm using it more and more. If I could have another, yours would be it. A great guitar and kicks ass on the new stuff. Good luck with the sale.
