Hamer95USA Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Hey folks, I'm looking to sell my British racing green vinyl 2001 VHT Pitbull 45/12 combo amp. The Pitbull has all new preamp & power tubes, recently biased, and comes with the 4 button footswitch (channel switching, boost, effects loop, and reverb). You can use the effects loop level knob on rear of amp in series as a master volume for the amp. Very cool sounding amp with EL-84 power tubes. The Class A/ Class AB switch on back is nice for cutting down the power of the amp and gives it a different tone. The effects loop has a series/parallel button and has + 4db (high) or -10db (low) button for either pedal or rack effects. It's a great "grab & go" amp with a few pedals for those local gigs. The clean can get very close to blackface Fender tone and the drive channel has a nice crunchy tone to it. Think Hiwatt amps. I'm asking $850.00 firm plus shipping. Guitar George
miragejake Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 got a mint korina artist hb in jazzburst....might possibly do a trade plus some cash on your end type of deal. don't feel like it would be a fair trade straight up.
El Kabong Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Do you really need a truss rod? I hear that truss rods are now a huge custom order upcharge, but you have to get your dealer to call and verify if they are doing them when you place your order complete with the deposit.

Hey miragejake, Do you have a picture of your Korina Artist in jazzburst? I'm curious about what it looks like. How much extra cash are you talking about for your guitar? Guitar George
Lew Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I had one of those amps for quite a spell, really good quality and great tones. More knobs than a space shuttle though
evershine Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Have you already traded the VHT Pittbull 45 combo? I don't have a Hamer guitar to trade with you, but I would be interested in buying it. Let me know via email: evershine@kc.rr.com or call me at 816-289-6174. Thanks, John Hey folks, I'm looking to trade my British racing green vinyl 2001 VHT Pitbull 45/12 combo amp for a Hamer Artist. I would like the guitar to be all original, with humbuckers, and must have OHSC, truss rod wrench, etc. Is anyone interested in making a trade? Guitar George
Hamer95USA Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 I'm bumping on old thread for this amp. Please check out my revised posting since I'm interested in selling the amp. Guitar George
Mindseyes Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I don't guess that you would be interested in a H&K switchbladehead by chance?
Hamer95USA Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 I don't guess that you would be interested in a H&K switchbladehead by chance? Hey Mindseyes, Thank you for your offer, but I'm not interested in any trades at this point. I need a cash sale for this amp to move. I hate to sell it, but extenuating circumstances have forced me to put her on the block. Guitar George
