Dear All member:

My friend has bought a t51, he is now suffering in pain, due to a person screwed up his bridge.

Could any one tell me, What is the model number of t51's wilkson bridge? Are they still exist in the market.

If its discontinued, Could you please advice which other bridge model could be use for substitute?

Please find the attachment for reference

Newer Wilkisons briges can apparently be used as substitute, (use search function and search for Wilkinson to see if you can find out more). What is wrong with the bridge he has? Perhaps it's easy to fix? Personally I really like the original Wilkinson bridge on the T51's. It's got a great snap and tele bite to it as the saddles are screwed tight separarately, which gives great coupling that increases tone.

There's no law that says he has to use the Wilkie bridge, either.

I had one recently that had a vintage style Tele bridge installed (IMO, it is the only kind of bridge that should be on a Tele) without any modifications.

It just screwed right on.

I recently upgraded my t-51 with a new Wilkinson compensated 3 saddle bridge.

It was not expensive, and there is a noticeable improvment in sustain, boing, and overall

tone. Seems to be overall much more lively now. Looks better too, more traditional.

It's no coincidence.

THank you for you kind reply. My friend wants to buy a wilkinson bridge. since he loves his old one

could you please recommand any good model?

He is really worried he cannot find it since we live in Hong Kong. Will a fender tele bridge be fine on a hamer?

The Wilkinson bridge used on the T51 was called the HT100. It hasn't been produced in probably ten years, although you do see them pop up on eBay occasionally.

There are versions of it with the bent steel saddles, as used on the VSV bridge, too.

Any 'standard Telecaster' bridge - the four-screw string-through type - will bolt right on to a T51, but since the HT100 is a little longer than most others, you might see some marks on the finish from the back edge of the original bridge.
